The GAF team assesses if the migrant is eligible using standardized screening forms that examine individual, household, community, and structural risk factors, as well as the unique vulnerabilities of each migrant. Staff in the field are responsible for completing the relevant form and submitting it to GAF.
If the case is approved under GAF, the case worker(s) has/have the responsibility to develop, in consultation with the migrant, assistance and budget plans to ensure that the services are adequate; conduct voluntary monitoring assessments to guarantee that the assistance is being properly delivered; and plan the sustainable recovery or (re)integration of the beneficiary.
